Here is the poem in its entirety:

MY FAVORITE THINGS (ON EARTH)
My favorite things are the mountains.
My favorite thing is the sea.
My favorite things are the wildflower weeds,
When walking, my puppy and me.

My favorite things are the tree trunks,
All crackled, that reach to the sky.
My favorite things are the clouds on the blue
that slowly go drifting on by.

My favorite things are the people,
All my family and friends. What it’s worth,
My favorite thing is the joy that I feel
Just to be a live person on earth.

Earth Poem #2:
RECYCLED

An Earth Poem by Denise Rodgers on ClassroomPoems.com.

One way that we all can help take care of planet earth is to recycle all our paper, plastics, cans... whatever your city takes in to recycle back into something usable. Everything we use and eat comes from the planet Earth. It is our job to do our part in keep our planet healthy!

Here is the text of the entire poem:

RECYCLED
Every bottle,
Every paper,
Every box comes through the door.
We recycle
To return them
to be what they were before.

Every item we reuse
instead of taking new
Helps our planet to be healthy,
To keep our landfills few.

So be mindful
To recycle
Every day and never miss
It’s our very special way
To give planet Earth a kiss.

Earth Poem #3
Where Does the Sun Go at Night?

An Earth Poem by Denise Rodgers on ClassroomPoems.com.

The ancients must have wondered about this. It might be a question posed by young children as well. The sun disappears on the horizon every night. Until scientists determined that the earth was as round as the sun -- and  rotating -- this was probably a very logical question.

Here is the full text of the poem:

WHERE DOES THE SUN GO AT NIGHT?
Where does the sun go at night
When the moon is the only thing bright.
Does it switch itself off
Sounding quiet and soft?
Does it dowse out its flame
To be never the same?
The truth is not scary, I say this with mirth,
The sun goes to hide on the far side of earth.

Earth Poem #4
IT'S EARTH

An Earth Poem by Denise Rodgers on ClassroomPoems.com.

There are at least two meanings to the word "earth." It is, of course, the name of our planet. The other meaning is the ground, the soil, the earth. This poem brings these two meanings or definitions together. Very simply, it's earth!

Below please find the text of the entire poem:

IT’S EARTH
Sometimes the dirt is brown
When you dig the ground down.
It’s Earth.
Further south, dirt instead is red.
It’s Earth.
We buy bags of soil to toil
In our garden.
It’s Earth.

We rotate through day and night.
That’s right,
It’s Earth.
It’s where we all live,
It’s where we all give.
It’s Earth.

Earth Poem #5
The Earth Spins

An Earth Poem by Denise Rodgers on ClassroomPoems.com.

One thing that is very certain on our planet is that the earth spins. It rotates on its axis every single day -- and revolves around the sun once a year. This is the cycle of life as we know it on planet earth -- and this is what this poem is all about. Please enjoy the complete text of this poem below.

THE EARTH SPINS
Every day the earth spins.
That is how our day begins.
We spin to see the morning sun.
We spin to watch when day is done.
Another quest the Earth resolves
Is slowly, slowly, to revolve
Around the sun. It takes a year.
When New Year comes, we stand and cheer.
As surely as our life begins
The Earth revolves
All while it spins.
