If I could

If I could write a book it wouldn’t be a girl like me with a different name.
It wouldn’t be a girl like younger me either
But an amalgamation of me and the people I love
But with their past flaws forever flowing

If I could write a song it wouldn’t be a sappy love song
Or a mad break up song
But about an experience of years
Or a song about my want for love but in a different way from others
With blunt yet subtle hints

If I could knit a sweater it wouldn’t be for me
But a gift for my best friend in one of her favorite color’s
As a Christmas gift

If I could sew a dress it wouldn’t be perfect
But I’d be in love with it
Short and blue

If I could take a perfect photo
It’d be with all my closest friends and my dogs

But can’t I do these things?

So maybe I will do these things
or at least try
and maybe fail
but that’s okay
